Meet Jake!

Hi! My name is Jake Griffith, and I’m an actor, writer and comedian based in Chicago. I graduated from the University of Minnesota / Guthrie Theatre BFA Actor Training Program in the spring of 2022. Since graduating, I’ve been seen on stages across the country including: The Second City, Guthrie Theater, Upright Citizen’s Brigade NYC, Brooklyn Comedy Collective, Shattered Globe Theatre, Annoyance Theatre, Lincoln Hall, Pop Up Productions, and Gwydion Theatre, and Lazy Susan Theatre Co.

My hope for this is to create a place where you can be an artist for a few hours every few weeks without the caveat of money, or the pressure to impress. You could take an hour and do the most intensive vocal warm-up you’ve done since college, or do Meisner repetition again for the first time in years, or hear a scene you wrote be read out loud by actors for the first time. I think workshops like this are so important because they help us remember simple aspects of craft improvement and enjoyment that can sometimes feel pushed aside.

Oh hey! My name is Hannah Eisendrath and I’m a multidisciplinary theatre artist based in Chicago. I graduated from Bard College in 2022 with a double major in theater and political studies. Since then, I’ve worked around Chicago and the Midwest with The Wisconsin Shakespeare Festival, The Annoyance Theater, PrideArts, Forest Park Theatre, Davenport’s, The Lincoln Lodge, Parallel 45 Theatre, and more. In Chicago, you can find me curating candy shelves for a local market or hiding in the stacks of a used book store.

Meet Hannah!

The hardest part about being an early career artist is finding a community that believes in you and your work. (Who knew our mentors were serious when they said “it’s a marathon, not a sprint?) Community makes us better artists. Now more than ever, we need safe and accessible spaces to connect, develop, and build.

Personally, I’m horrified about the future. It can be debilitating. BUT I know one thing for sure: I feel better when I’m surrounded by all of you.
